Zon@ Neutr@ built this demo using our DemoEngine, and then we participated in the same competition, fighting for the best position in the ranking until reality kicked our asses.

In this demo Xphere combined many different elements, including LightWave animations by Madgoblin and many of the effects already available in the editor.
At the same time, merlucin was working on The Demothing for the same party, using the same engine. Well, not exactly the same version: Pere’s version was the one published on the Spontz website, but it did not yet include viewport support. This feature allowed the coder to copy a viewport into a texture and use it later as part of the scene.
The music for YAND was composed by Silenci using a Soundart Chameleon.
The music is divided into two distinct parts. The first part is more serious and atmospheric, while the second one is much more playful and carefree. The second part was also the one he enjoyed composing the most.
Silenci's favourite sample was deliberately left out: a little bell sound that can be heard repeating over and over again in many of his tracks. There is, however, a similar sample somewhere in the music.
He insisted that the loading screen should feature the phrase “Cargando voy, cargando vengo”, a parody of the famous “Volando voy, volando vengo” lyric from Sergio Romero. He was also responsible for the date appearing as “Julay 2004” instead of the perfectly reasonable “July 2004”.
And, of course, he couldn't resist adding some other completely unnecessary pieces of nonsense, such as “empty of plentiness”.
