The concept behind this production is a bit diffuse. It started as a elucubration of several space scenes in which there were some physical laws that were distorted, but then was slightly moved to a concept involucrating the mind and the creative process.

Welcome to Spontz’s Quintessence, a demo first destined for Breakpoint 2009, yet plagued by such misfortunes that we withheld it from the compo.
Its hour came at Main Party 2009, in Arles, France. Though some curses remained—certain shaders still favoured ATI over nVidia—the demo was finally worthy of the great screen.
Xphere and drumu added the final rites, while merlucin tamed and hastened the slowest of its effects.
All this was forged upon a 2006 MacBook Pro, whose wounded ATI X1600 caused it to freeze every quarter of an hour. Some effects demanded much of the CPU, yet the machine itself was scarcely powerful enough to bear them.
The music was composed by Dynimix.
